What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Highway Engineer position at T&M Associates?
T&M Associates is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer for our Transportation/Highway Department in any of our New Jersey offices. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work with in-office collaboration.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical background in all aspects of highway and traffic design for the delivery of complex projects and assignments for county and agency projects. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong background in transportation design looking to advance their career with a quick growing team!
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience managing civil/highway projects in the transportation industry.
- EIT preferred, with the ability to obtain NJ PE license.
- Proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD required.
- Experience with NJ Counties and NJDOT projects and knowledge of their design standards, procedures and requirements is required.
- Detail oriented with a strong command of design principles and the ability to develop accurate design calculations.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication including public speaking skills are required.

T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $91,000 - $118,000. The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
