The Entry Level GA is responsible for acquiring, analyzing, compiling, evaluating, and reviewing geospatial data for use in standard products, non-standard products, and/or data holdings in support of project requirements. The Entry Level GA will attribute, exploit, extract, format, manipulate, position, and symbolize geospatial information, as well as ensure the quality, accuracy, and currency of geospatial information produced in-house or in cooperation with suppliers for national, state and local government, defense and intelligence clients.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of ESRI GIS software - ArcGIS
- 0-2 years of GIS experience (this can include internships or non-traditional training programs)
- Experience extracting and/or verifying GIS data over imagery
- Familiarity with selection sets, definition queries, and sorting attribute tables
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to recognize problems early and formulate resolutions
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365
Preferred Qualifications:
- Effective communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong understanding of spatial and topologic relationships
- Experience supporting NGA's Janus Geography program
- Experience with Foundation GEOINT products and schemas (i.e., TDS, MGCP, AAFIF, GNDB, DVOF)
