Customer Service
- Responds promptly and cheerfully to customers' needs.
- Assists customers by loading purchased materials into customer's vehicle.
- Cuts lumber and other materials to requested sizes for customers.
- Picks up special orders for customers. Responds to requests for service and assistance.
Receiving
- Unloads merchandise from wholesale delivery trucks.
- Counts materials and records totals on inventory sheets.
- Stocks materials in appropriate areas.
Yard Maintenance
- Straightens materials to maintain safe and orderly conditions in yard.
- Covers exposed materials, when required, to prevent weather damage.
- Keeps yard area clean by sweeping and picking up trash.
- Cleans and maintains equipment.
- Inspects forklifts and bobcats every day.
- Washes trucks and other equipment.
Deliveries
- Loads customers' orders onto delivery trucks and double-checks trucks before they leave yard.
- Inspects trucks prior to deliveries every day.
- Drives truck to deliver lumber and other supplies to customers' homes or places of business.
- Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
- Issues or obtains customers' signatures on receipts for pickups or deliveries.
Safety
- Performs daily safety checks according to the Safety Manual.
- Follows all safety rules and directive at all times.
- Uses personal protective equipment as described in the Safety Manual.
**$17/hr or higher depending on experience**Weekly OT**
