Duties
- Install new irrigation systems, including sprinkler heads, controllers, valves, and piping, ensuring precise placement and functionality
- Conduct regular maintenance and irrigation system repairs to keep systems operating efficiently and effectively
- Troubleshoot system issues using electrical diagnostics and system troubleshooting techniques to identify faults quickly
- Perform excavation work with hand tools or excavators to install or repair underground irrigation components safely and accurately
- Manage automated irrigation control systems to optimize watering schedules based on soil science and landscape needs
- Collaborate with landscaping teams on integrated landscape maintenance projects to ensure seamless irrigation integration
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functions, addressing concerns, and offering tailored irrigation solutions
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of irrigation equipment, valves, controllers, and related hardware
- Experience with new irrigation system installation projects from start to finish
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics related to automated irrigation control systems
- Knowledge of landscaping principles, soil science, and horticulture to support healthy plant growth
- Skilled in excavation using hand tools or excavators for underground pipework installation or repair
- Familiarity with power tools used in construction and landscape maintenance tasks
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
