TIES is a professional mortuary service dedicated to serving funeral homes, medical facilities, and the community with dignity, precision, and care. We provide decedent removal, preparation, transport, and mortuary support services with the highest standards of professionalism and respect. This position offers hands on experience at a working mortuary environment, focusing on removals, preparation, embalming assistance. Students will gain valuable practical knowledge to compliment their education while working alongside licensed professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assist with decedent removal, transportation, and transfer in a professional and respectful manner.
- Support licensed embalmers in preparation, embalming, and restorative care
- Maintain accurate documentation and chain of custody records
- Ensure preparation and storage areas remain clean, safe, and compliant with regulatory standards
- Learn best practices for health, safety, and infection control in a mortuary setting.
- Perform additional duties as assigned under the supervision of licensed staff
Experience
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Mortuary Science program, or in the process
- Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
- Ability to maintain composure and respect in sensitive environments.
- Physical ability to lift and transport decedents with proper equipment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
- Valid drivers license with no criminal history
