Reports To: Operations Supervisor
Skills / Qualifications:
- Must have 4 years hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing both electrical and mechanical issues in a robotic system
- Solid knowledge in at least one of the following OEM product lines: Fanuc, ABB, Motoman, or KUKA
- Ability to build robotic component test equipment and fixtures
- Ability to read and understand OEM repair manuals including electrical schematics
- Previous experience leading maintenance teams a plus
- Previous experience interacting with customers and communicating services and issues
- Good communications skills, both oral and written
- Self-starter with the ability to motivate others
- Must have proficient ability to read and write English
- Strong organizational skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good attention to detail
- Must be comfortable working with ambiguity in urgent situations
- Must be in good physical condition with ability to lift up to 50 lbs without accommodation
- Ability to stand, walk, or kneel for long durations
- Reliable and dependable to work 5 days a week (minimum)
- Forklift certification is desired, but not required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Position Duties:
- Refurbish and repair robotic systems
- Identify and repair faults in electronic and mechanical parts and components and document results
- Utilize OEM Robotic control systems to test and validate part performance
- Prep and paint mechanical units and controllers
- Use test and repair equipment including soldering, and de-soldering equipment
- Demonstrate effective troubleshooting and critical thinking methods
- Create and run basic robot programs
- Read and comprehending robot manuals
- Additional responsibilities as required
- Overtime on weekdays and weekends is often required
