General Laborer (Construction) – Part-Time / On-Call (Bench Position)

Position Overview

T. Harris Builders is seeking reliable General Laborers to join our team on a part-time, on-call (bench) basis. This role is ideal for individuals looking for flexible work opportunities in residential construction.

Work hours will vary based on project needs. Some weeks may offer full-time hours (up to 40 ), while other weeks may have limited or no hours.

Full-time opportunities may be available after a 90-day performance review for dependable and consistent workers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general construction tasks on residential job sites
• Load and unload materials and tools
• Maintain clean and safe work areas
• Support skilled trades (framing, drywall, tile, etc.)
• Perform demolition, prep work, and basic installations
• Follow directions from supervisors and crew leads

Requirements

• Previous construction or general labor experience preferred (not required)
• Must be dependable and show up ready to work
• Ability to perform physical labor (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods)
• Must have reliable transportation
• Basic tools are a plus, but not required
• Willingness to learn and take direction

Schedule

• Part-time / On-call (Bench Position)
• Hours vary based on project demand
• May work up to 40 hours in a week or have weeks off

Compensation

• Pay based on experience and skill level
• Paid through professional payroll system (direct deposit)
• Weekly pay schedule
