Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and comfort
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Engage with guests to provide personalized recommendations, upselling menu items to enhance their experience
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities, while balancing registers at shift end
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning service stations, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Support food preparation and food handling tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations during busy periods
- Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub exposure
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and reservations management
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests and handle multiple tables efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume shifts
- Basic math skills for bill calculation, cash handling, and inventory management
- Experience in upselling menu items to increase sales while enhancing guest satisfaction
- Culinary or kitchen experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
