Project Estimator

T&G Builders is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. We build and renovate some of the finest custom homes on the Eastern Shore and are looking for a professional who shares our commitment to Integrity, Empathy, and Love.

About the Role

As an Estimator at T&G Builders, you’ll play a key role in the success of every project. You’ll evaluate drawings and specifications, perform detailed take-offs, solicit and analyze subcontractor bids, and collaborate closely with our design and construction teams to ensure accuracy and client satisfaction.

We operate on the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) — a proven framework for organizational clarity and accountability. Familiarity with EOS is a plus, and we welcome candidates who value structure, teamwork, and open communication.

We also leverage AI-powered tools to improve accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate is comfortable using AI software to assist with take-offs, proposals, data management, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications
• Identify key bid dates, requirements, and potential challenges
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment
• Solicit, evaluate, and compare vendor and subcontractor proposals
• Develop scopes of work and bid packages for subcontractors
• Participate in subcontractor selection and contract award
• Prepare clear, accurate proposals outlining scope, pricing, qualifications, and exclusions
• Maintain organized records of bids, quotes, and cost data
• Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and design staff
• Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
• Use AI and digital tools to streamline estimating and reporting processes

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of estimating experience in custom residential construction or a related industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience with JobTread or similar project management software a plus
• Proficiency in AI or automation tools to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Spanish language skills a plus
• Familiarity with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
