Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gonzales, LA, for a Manual Machinist. The Manual Machinist will be responsible for operating manual lathes, mills, and other precision machinery to manufacture and repair parts as per engineering specifications. The role includes interpreting technical drawings, measuring components for accuracy, maintaining machinery, and adhering to quality and safety standards. The candidate will collaborate with the team to ensure timely and precise completion of projects.
Qualifications
- Experience with manual machining, including operating lathes, milling machines, and other precision machinery
- Proficiency in interpreting technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of machining tools and materials
- Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Commitment to maintaining safety standards and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced work environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining is a plus
- Prior experience in industrial equipment repair or heavy machinery industries is beneficial
