Test Cell Mechanic

Greenville, SC

The Test Cell Mechanic supports test operations by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and basic instrumentation systems in a test cell environment.

Key Responsibilities

·         Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and test cell equipment.

·         Read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, schematics, and procedures to complete work accurately.

·         Assemble, align, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and basic instrumentation systems.

·         Support test setup, teardown, equipment monitoring, and operational issue response.

·         Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.

·         Follow safety standards, company procedures, and applicable codes.

·         Complete work orders, maintenance records, and clear communication with team members and supervisors.

Qualifications

·         High school diploma or GED required

·         Technical training or equivalent experience in mechanical maintenance, industrial maintenance, or instrumentation preferred

·         2 years of experience in mechanical, maintenance, or test cell-related work environments preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·         Working knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, and equipment maintenance

·         Basic understanding of instrumentation and control systems

·         Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and procedures

·         Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

·         Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting, climbing, confined spaces as required)

·         Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Requirements:

·         Arrive at work on time, as scheduled, consistently, reliably, & complete each shift

·         Follow all safety rules and standards for the company and for the site

·         Understand and follow Instructions from the direct supervisor

Must be capable of operating a standard 1/2 ton pick-up for occasional delivery and pick-up of materials and personnel and hold a valid, unrestricted motor vehicle operator's license issued by the state of residence, and the manual dexterity necessary to operate a standard desktop computer keyboard.
