Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Asphalt Laborer to join our construction team. This role involves supporting asphalt paving projects and operating various heavy equipment on-site. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, utility locating, and heavy equipment operation, with a strong focus on safety and teamwork. Responsibilities
- Assist with asphalt paving operations, including preparing the site and ensuring proper material placement
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, front loader trucks, and dump trucks
- Support the setup and breakdown of construction sites, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Maintain and inspect equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with grading, site leveling, and other groundwork tasks as needed
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction or paving preferred; construction site experience is a plus
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as forklift, roller, dozer, loader, backhoe, grader, and dump truck
- Ability to operate a front loader truck and perform basic maintenance on machinery
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license preferred; relevant certifications in heavy equipment operation are a plus
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 60.0 per week
