The Inventory Clerk plays a critical role in maintaining accurate records of all products and materials within an organization's inventory. This position involves monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and ensuring efficient inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
· Inventory Monitoring: Regularly review inventory levels to identify shortages or excesses and take appropriate actions.
· Data Entry: Accurately record all inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and adjustments, in the inventory management system.
· Auditing: Perform routine and ad-hoc inventory audits to ensure data accuracy and identify discrepancies.
· Replenishment: Collaborate with the purchasing department to initiate orders for restocking inventory items.
· Quality Control: Inspect incoming products for quality and accuracy, reporting any issues to the appropriate authorities.
· Organization: Maintain a well-organized and accessible inventory storage area, ensuring items are properly labeled and stored efficiently.
· Reporting: Generate regular inventory reports, highlighting key metrics, such as stock levels, turnover rates, and slow-moving items.
· Collaboration: Work closely with the Inventory Manager and other relevant departments to optimize inventory processes and maintain adequate stock levels.
· Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards when handling inventory.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Previous experience in manufacturing, preferred
· Familiarity with inventory software and data entry skills.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
· Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
· Ability to lift and move heavy items when necessary.
Working Conditions:
This position works in a factory setting. This may involve standing for extended periods and intermittently lifting heavy items.
