Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of 35 direct and indirect reports, including maintenance technicians, supervisors, and contractors. Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of productivity and technical expertise.
- Oversee all aspects of the maintenance department, ensuring that machinery, equipment, and systems are maintained in optimal working condition. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and enhance productivity.
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective and efficient use of resources while maintaining the quality of service. Monitor and control expenditures to stay within budgetary limits.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Promote a safe working environment by conducting regular safety audits, training programs, and incident investigations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to optimize maintenance operations. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of maintenance activities.
- Manage relationships with external contractors, vendors, and service providers. Negotiate contracts and ensure quality and timeliness of external maintenance services.
- Oversee maintenance-related projects, from planning to execution. Coordinate resources and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Troubleshoot complex maintenance issues and lead efforts to resolve technical problems quickly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and operational disruption.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance schedules, inventory, and equipment performance data. Prepare regular reports on maintenance performance for upper management.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related field).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Proven experience in managing a large team and overseeing complex maintenance operations.
