What are the responsibilities and job description for the BASE CAMP MEN'S DIRECTOR position at T Bar M Camps?
Position Overview: This position will work with the Base Camp Director to successfully execute T Bar M's Base Camp, leading a group of summer college-aged staff in the facilitation of our overnight grade school camp.

CCG operates youth and family camps and retreats in New Braunfels and at Lake Travis near Austin under the trade name T Bar M Camps & Retreats. T Bar M is a Christ-centered, year-round camp, retreat, and guest group ministry. All employees are required to be in alignment with CCG’s Core Identity (Mission, Vision, Values) and the Belief Statement. CCG is governed by its Board of Trustees, to whom the President reports.
Key Duties
- Provide Leadership to Base Camp summer staff and campers alongside Base Camp Director and Base Camp Women's Director
- Summer staff shared Director responsibilities:
- Train, lead, and evaluate summer staff
- Problem solve and interface with summer staff
- Assist in the development and investment of the Leadership Team
- Year-round investment with summer staff
- Actively participate in staff follow up communications (email, social media, campus visits, etc.)
- Camper shared responsibilities
- Problem solve/interface with campers daily during camp
- Actively participate in parent follow up communications (e-mail, phone, etc.)
- Summer individual responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of special summer programming (Team Meeting, Theme Nights, Skits, etc.)
- Lead a guys leadership covenant
- Teach staff bible study and/or Team Meeting
- Compile staff weekly comments and mid/post summer eval
- Oversee weekly collection/organization of camper contact info/ratings
- Year-round individual responsibilities
- Recruiting:
- Participate in recruiting trips, interviews, evaluation/hiring
- Participate in the hiring of the Base Camp mens coaching staff and leadership team
- Assist other male directors in vetting male applicants
- Promote to staff via text, social media
- Programming:
- Lead in creating and planning Base Camp programming (Team Meeting, Theme Nights, Skits, etc.) in conjunction with Base Camp Director and Base Camp Women's Director
- Assist in creating new and/or modifying existing summer activities
- Camper postcards: manage staff addresses, completion list and remailings
- Maintain an active role in additional T Bar M Camps activities (including but not limited to):
- Assist and/or support sponsored retreats (F/S, Leadership Retreats, etc.)
- Participate in all T Bar M Camp Director planning and training session
- Spiritual Growth and Alignment
- Consistent evidence of a growing relationship with Christ
- Awareness of and desire to deploy her spiritual gift(s) in this ministry
- Agreement with T Bar M Camps Doctrinal Statement
- Strong sense of calling
