T. Baker Smith is seeking talented Project Technicians and Designers with expertise in land surveying. This position is an excellent opportunity to work with a Professional Licensed Surveyor as a mentor and a dedicated field team focused on enhancing local communities!
Your Opportunity
- Review, analyze and reduce raw data from field operations.
- Prepares designs, drawings, reports, and calculations for the project.
- Work closely with Project Managers to obtain project information and ensure drawings are accurate and complete.
- Helps to Identify improvements to enhance our service to clients.
- Collaborates on assignments as part of a team involved in the planning, organizing, and developing of projects, and maintains proper documentation and reports.
- Assist other project teams or departments with technical, field, or other duties as needed or requested.
- Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Drafting and Design
- 1-3 years of proven experience in CADD drafting/design.
- Fundamentals of Surveying Examination completion is a plus.
- Willingness to obtain at least four years of combined office and field experience in land surveying, (including two years or more experience in responsible charge of land surveying projects under the supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Carlson Survey, Trimble Business Center software and MS Office.
- Hydrographic experience a plus.
- Self-motivation and the ability to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail is a must.
