Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Coordinator to join our manufacturing team. Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop production plans based on customer orders and sales forecasts, and allocate work across workshops and production lines
2. Material Coordination
- Work with Purchasing and Warehouse teams to ensure raw materials and components arrive on time
- Follow up on material shortages and supplier delays to prevent line stoppages
3. Cross-Department Communication
- Act as the liaison between Sales, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, and Logistics
- Communicate delivery schedules to customers or Sales and resolve delivery conflicts
4. Progress Tracking & Issue Resolution
- Monitor daily production progress and output against targets
- Coordinate responses to equipment breakdowns, quality issues, and staffing shortages
5. Resource Allocation
- Manage manpower, equipment, and capacity, including overtime and shift arrangements
- Balance workloads across production lines
6. Data & Reporting
- Track KPIs such as output, yield, and on-time delivery (OTD)
- Prepare daily and weekly production reports for management
7. Meeting Facilitation
- Lead daily production meetings and S&OP (Sales & Operations) coordination meetings
- Drive issues through to closure
Key Skills
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes
- Ability to manage urgent issues and changing priorities
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Odoo: Manufacturing, Inventory, Purchase modules)
- Adjust schedules promptly in response to order changes, rush orders, or priority shifts
Qualifications
- Required
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (e.g., electronics, automotive, machinery, or a similar industry)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement methods
- Understanding of quality management systems
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin
- 3–5 years of experience in production planning, production coordination, or manufacturing operations
- At least 1–2 years in a coordination or team lead role
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably Odoo (Manufacturing, Inventory, Purchase modules)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
