About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Scientist to join our research team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in translational small molecule drug discovery and cancer biology/immuno-oncology sufficient to execute multistep drug discovery workflows independently. You will lead key aspects of our drug discovery and platform development efforts.

Specific key responsibilities will include:

-Advancing pre-IND programs through the drug discovery and development pipeline

-In-vivo tumor modeling

-Screening small molecules using our proprietary in vitro screening tools

-Leading scientific team members as our company grows   

About you

The tangible

· PhD in Cancer Biology, Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology, Biophysics, or a related field    

· 3-5 years of research/development experience in biopharma/industry; startup experience is a

plus    

· Strategic translational drug development experience (PK, PD, Tox, ADME, translational biomarkers)

· In vivo experimentation with tumor-bearing mice

· Standard cancer cell biology/immune oncology techniques (flow cytometry, Western blotting,

immunofluorescence, qPCR, etc.)

· Analytical problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves to learn new things · Efficient and collaborative work style with a strong ability to prioritize    

· Excellent communicator within the team and external parties

Big bonus

· Experience with biochemical/biophysical assay technologies to support compound profiling,      computational/AI-enabled approaches to drug design, and/or bioinformatics

· Salary range: Commensurate with experience ($75-125K)
