Part Time Accounting Clerk

Job Summary:

SYTECH is a growing precision metal fabrication company located in Spokane, WA. The part time Accounting Clerk will be responsible for the day-to-day financial tasks, they will be responsible for both accounts payable and receivable, and other related financial activities. Compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements is expected.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Performing basic office tasks responding to emails, processing mail, filing, etc.

· Maintaining a database, ensuring that records are complete and current.

· Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.

· Monitor and order office supplies

· Process accounts receivable and payable.

· Process checks, as needed

· Work with the accountant daily.

· Abiding by all company procedures and accounting principles.

· Responding appropriately to vendors, clients, and internal requests, when appropriate.

· Monitor financial transactions and reports.

· Understand ledgers. (In Training)

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Attention to detail and accuracy of work.

· Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Quick books, or MYOB.

· Intermediate organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

· Maintains high standards of integrity and ethical behavior.

Education and Experience:

· Associate’s degree in accounting or business administration. Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles preferred, or related experience in Accounting.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

· Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures for extended periods of time, when needed.

· Lift up to 25 lbs on an occasional basis. Occasional lifting and/or pushing or pulling could be required.

· Generally, the job requires 5% standing and 95% sitting.

· Natural or corrected vision to see and focus for color and perceive color differences, under normal lighting conditions.

· Frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.
