Support Desk Data Analyst

SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Support Desk Data Analyst for a hybrid opportunity for candidates in Columbia, SC. Candidate will support enterprise technology operations by analyzing service desk performance, validating operational data, developing reports, and identifying opportunities to improve service quality and efficiency. The role will collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to evaluate processes, resolve issues, and deliver data-driven recommendations that enhance support operations.

Required Qualifications of Support Desk Data Analyst:

• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
• 2–4 years of experience in technical support, service desk operations, or a related IT support role.
• Experience writing simple, intermediate, and complex T-SQL queries against Microsoft SQL Server databases and data warehouse environments.
• 1–2 years of experience working with relational databases, database transactions, and stored procedures.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts, data analysis methods, and data validation practices.
• Ability to analyze trends, identify data quality issues, and develop recommendations for process improvements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with technical teams.
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance (an interim clearance may be acceptable at the time of hire).

Preferred Skills/Experience of the Support Desk Data Analyst:

• ITIL Version 4 certification.
• Previous experience supporting service desk reporting, analytics, or quality assurance activities.
• Experience working with System Center Service Manager (SCSM) and/or Cireson Portal.
• Experience with technical evaluations, reporting processes, and operational performance metrics.

Responsibilities of Support Desk Data Analyst:

• Analyze service desk operations, metrics, workflows, and customer satisfaction data to identify performance trends and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, reports, and data analyses to support operational decision-making.
• Validate data accuracy, consistency, and quality while investigating discrepancies and recurring issues.
• Evaluate service processes and recommend corrective actions, enhancements, and workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and support teams to communicate findings and improve service delivery.
• Assist with documentation, reporting standards, quality reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Location: Hybrid work schedule following an initial onsite training period. The candidate must be available to work onsite as required by business needs in Columbia, SC.
