SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Server Engineer – Disaster Recovery for a hybrid opportunity in Columbia, SC. Candidate support and maintain the enterprise systems for contingency and DR purposes. We execute at least 4 disaster recovery exercises a year one of which is audited and executed 24/7.
Required Qualifications of the Server Engineer – Disaster Recovery:
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree. or 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree6 Years Research and analysis experience
- 8 years of server or other job related experience
- Disaster Recovery Management, Network troubleshooting, AIX and Linux Server management
- Nice to Have: SAN Storage, VMWare
Responsibilities of the Server Engineer – Disaster Recovery:
- Maintaining the environment includes keeping up with hardware EOL and renewals. Maintaining DR readiness to include meeting and planning with customers and maintain, coordinate and troubleshoot issues at a fast pace.
Work Location: Hybrid work arrangement preferred with onsite support Tuesday through Thursday and additional onsite presence as needed in Columbia, SC.
Hours: 8-5 - OT is required for any disaster recovery exercises and proof of concept
