Position Description:
Entry to Senior level Field Technician
Systems Northwest is looking for Entry level to Senior level Field technicians for a position Located in Kalispell Montana. Position will consist of the following: field installations including cable pulling, device installation, head end trim, programming, modification, maintenance and repair on Fire Alarm Systems, Access Control, Tele/data, Overhead Paging, Intercom, Professional A/V, Camera Systems, Intrusion Detection (IDS). Must live within 25 miles of Kalispell this is considered your home base in order to service an install systems within this area along with travel throughout the State. Position requires 50-60 % cable pulling, 30% device and cable termination, 10% programming and testing. Position requires working on new construction and existing facilities.
Responsibilities:
Support Customers as needed, by providing technical assistance, on-site troubleshooting, hands on maintenance and repair of all of fire alarm systems. Installation of new systems, accurate record and time keeping. Ability to work unsupervised and alone on projects and service orders. Position requires overtime, on call and weekly travel throughout the state of Montana.
Additional Details:
Qualified applicants will be considered on a 3 month probation period. Customer Service and Communication skill are a must. Quality installations is a high priority at Systems Northwest attention to detail will be evaluated during the probation period. Skills/Technical Knowledge/Experience:
Customer Service oriented personality, excellent oral and written communication skills. Self-motivated, basic computer skills, electrical theory comprehension. We will train qualified applicants in needed electrical theory and specific programming software.
Desired Skills and Expertise:
Excellent Customer Service ability
Nicet level 1 or II in fire alarm systems
Notifier and Fire-Lite fire alarm systems installation and programming
Additional systems installed experience is desired but not required:
Pelco/Axis IP Cameras and NVR’s
Continuum by Schneider Electric Card Access Expert or Honeywell
Telecor/Valcom Intercom Systems
West Call Nurse Call System
Fiber Optic Terminations with Cam style connectors
IP networking ability and understanding
Crestron Control Systems
