Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform skilled fitting and/or mechanical or hydraulic type assembly of parts, sub-assemblies, and related units using a variety of hand tools, power tools, or equipment
- Perform in-depth inspection to ensure the product meets specifications and quality standards
- Do aligning, adjusting, and required secondary machining
- Work from drawings and specifications and shop orders
- Use required precision measuring instruments and gauging devices
- Operate cranes and hoists or lift tables
- Identify product defects and report on issues to appropriate personnel
- Keep accurate production records/logs etc.
- Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
- Protect Chamberlain Group’s and Systems’ reputation by keeping information confidential.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed
- No minimum education required
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment or can demonstrate sufficient competence in area
- Intermediate understanding of mechanical concepts/mechanical aptitude
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit up
- Ability to use hand to finger, handle, and feel
- Ability to climb and balance
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to see, talk, and hear
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
