What are the responsibilities and job description for the Press Brake Operator position at Systems Engineering & Mfg Inc?
· Operates a press brake to manufacture tools, equipment, and other components from sheet metal or metal plates.
· Prepares, sets up, and adjusts press brake as required by product plans and production schedules.
· Must have ability to setup and tool direct from prints.
· Ensures that there are sufficient raw materials available.
· Measures and aligns materials to be used.
· Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
· Performs routine maintenance on the press brake.
· Maintains a clean work area.
· Ensures safety procedures are followed.
- Ensures quality of work.
- Accurately completes time sheet.
· Performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to operating other machinery.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate press brake controls.
· Ability to follow instructions.
· Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans.
· Basic computer and math skills.
Operate a full CNC brake while producing parts with correct and accurate bends. Ability to set up and program press brake and ability to use 3D CAD is preferred. At least 3 years experience operating a Press Brake is preferred. Must be dependable, OT required at times. Pay based on experience and ability.
