Systematix is currently looking for a Senior Network Security Engineer to help support the growth in a diverse global infrastructure.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our client is one of the leading Diagnostics and Life Sciences companies, with offices around the world. Working as a Network Architect for the Enterprise Technology Solutions division, you will be responsible for developing network and related architectures and solutions based on requirements from offering, engineering, and operations, as well as internal & external customers. You will also be responsible for network architecture and service delivery covering 150 remote sites globally, 5 data centers, and an ever-growing Cloud footprint.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participating in the definition of the technology roadmap for network security components such as firewalls, intrusion prevention, network access control, central policy management, and SSL VPN services. Including technology watch, vendor selection, and engineering validation in the lab.
- Leading enterprise-wide projects in relation to design and provisioning of network security components.
- Participating in strategy definition and execution for enterprise network segmentation to address high risk environments such as public facing cloud applications or backend manufacturing systems and IoT.
- Translating business requirements for secure applications by designing, implementing, and managing firewall policy based on internal standards as well as industry best practices.
- Taking escalations for unique and complex technical problems that operations teams are unable to solve using existing work instructions, perform root cause analysis and knowledge transfer.
- Participating in security incident response as part of a larger cross-functional team.
- Monitoring network security logs and perform corrective actions accordingly.
ABOUT THE QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in networking field at a global enterprise scale including WAN, LAN, or data center environments.
- Experience with at least two of the following network firewall vendors: Palo Alto, Juniper SRX, Checkpoint
- Proven hands-on track with at least two of the following network authentication service engines: Aruba ClearPass, Cisco ISE, Pulse Secure Policy Manager.
- Proven hands-on track designing and supporting SSL VPN services in a large enterprise environment, such as Pulse Secure or Palo Alto Global Protect (Prisma cloud an advantage).
- Experience optimizing security policy and migrating existing policy from one FW vendor to another.
- Experience with Palo Alto Panorama or Juniper Security Director
- Experiece with Network automation tools such as Ansible or Chef, scripting using Python, Bash, or any other tools for automating mass changes on network/security devices in a large environment.

There is a 6 month contract to hire role. The position may be performed remotely in any time zone within North America.
