Job Overview:
Looking for a qualified assistant to our paint booth. They will be responsible to assist in preparing cabinet parts by cleaning, sanding and prepping to be finished for assembly. This individual should have basic knowledge of the use of tools, be detailed oriented and can stay on task to meet acquired deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation: Sanding, cleaning, masking, and covering parts with tape/paper to protect areas not being painted.
- Booth Maintenance: Cleaning spray guns, paint pots, and the booth area, including changing filters to prevent contamination.
- Material Prep: Mixing paints, solvents, and primers to specific formulas.
- Production Support: Loading/unloading parts using hoists or forklifts, and moving items to drying areas.
- Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and managing waste.
Requirements: Education, Experience & Skills

- Attention to detail
- Ability to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility with work schedule and ability to work OT (more than 40 hours) in any given week as needed
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is required to walk, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, stoop, and kneel each day. Specific requirements are:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pull or push up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to reach overhead
- Must be able to work in small, sometimes awkward positions
