Responsibilities
- As the Safety Manager, develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures aligned with OSHA regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure safe crane and heavy equipment operations.
- Lead and coordinate all employee safety training programs and certification efforts as the Safety Manager.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, providing detailed reports and corrective action plans.
- Maintain and update all safety documentation, reports, and compliance records as required by law and company policy.
- Work closely with management, supervisors, and field employees to reinforce a safety-first mindset throughout the organization.
- Stay informed of emerging safety regulations, best practices, and innovations in crane and heavy equipment safety.
- As the Safety Manager, ensure all lifting equipment, vehicles, and machinery are properly maintained and inspected.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Safety Manager or in a similar leadership role within crane, heavy equipment, construction, or heavy haul industries.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, crane operations, and job site safety regulations.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety or related credentials preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills—capable of influencing all levels of the organization.
- Keen attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to develop, present, and enforce safety programs effectively as a Safety Manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or a related field preferred.
