Position Summary

The Digital Content & Social Media Specialist is responsible for creating engaging visual and written content that supports brand awareness, product launches, customer education, and ongoing marketing campaigns.

This role combines hands-on content creation with social media management and digital marketing execution. The specialist will produce video, photography, and social content; manage day-to-day activity across LinkedIn and Instagram; support website updates; and collaborate with the Marketing team to bring product stories, technical expertise, and industry topics to life.

The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller who is equally comfortable behind a camera, editing video, developing a social media calendar, interviewing a technical expert, and working with the Marketing team to execute a coordinated product launch.

Key Responsibilities

Video Production & Multimedia Content 25%

  • Plan, film, edit, and produce video content for ongoing programs such as 5 Minutes with Fantech, Tech Talks, product launches, training content, social media, customer education, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Develop video concepts, storyboards, interview questions, shot lists, and production plans in collaboration with Marketing and internal subject matter experts.
  • Film interviews, product demonstrations, technical discussions, events, installations, and other brand content.
  • Edit short- and long-form video for use across social media, websites, presentations, email campaigns, and other digital channels.
  • Repurpose longer video content into short-form clips and supporting social content to maximize reach and extend the life of each piece of content.
  • Maintain an organized library of video footage, photography, and other digital assets.

Photography & Visual Content 15%

  • Plan and execute professional product photography for new product launches, websites, brochures, social media, email campaigns, and sales materials.
  • Photograph employees, events, facilities, installations, and other subjects as needed.
  • Edit and optimize photography for digital and print applications.
  • Work with Marketing to maintain consistent brand standards across photography and video.
  • Identify opportunities to build a stronger library of original brand photography and video content.

Social Media Management 25%

  • Help develop and manage the content calendar for LinkedIn and Instagram.
  • Plan, create, schedule, and publish social media content in coordination with broader marketing priorities and campaigns.
  • Write or support the development of captions, headlines, calls to action, and supporting social copy.
  • Monitor social channels and engage appropriately with comments, mentions, customers, partners, and industry conversations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to identify product, project, technical, employee, and industry stories worth sharing.
  • Track social media performance and use engagement data to help refine future content.
  • Identify opportunities to increase reach, engagement, and follower growth while maintaining brand voice and positioning.

Product Launches & Integrated Campaigns 25%

  • Work closely with Marketing and Product Management to develop content for new product launches and ongoing product campaigns.
  • Translate product features, technical information, and customer benefits into engaging video, photography, social, and digital content.
  • Participate in campaign planning to ensure content is developed in the appropriate formats for each channel.
  • Support coordinated campaigns across social media, email, websites, video, blogs, sales enablement, and other marketing channels.
  • Help extend campaigns beyond the initial launch by developing ongoing educational, application-focused, and product-focused content.

Blog & Editorial Content less than 5%

  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop and maintain a pipeline of relevant blog and educational content.
  • Identify potential topics based on industry trends, customer questions, product applications, technical expertise, and social media engagement.
  • Interview internal subject matter experts and help translate their expertise into accessible content.
  • Support the development, editing, and publishing of blogs, articles, case studies, and other educational materials.
  • Look for opportunities to connect blog, video, social, and campaign content so that individual pieces support a larger content strategy.

  • Update and maintain website content, including product pages, images, videos, landing pages, news, blogs, and other marketing content.
  • Ensure website content is current, accurate, visually consistent, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Optimize images, video, and other digital assets for web use.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Product Management, and other internal teams to ensure new products and campaign content are properly represented online.
  • Support basic SEO best practices when publishing and updating digital content.
