Job Description:
- Teach students to build, maintain and repair both computer and networking systems.
- Teach students to administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Novell/Windows networks.
- Teach students how to configuration and maintain a web server as well as design and maintain a website
- Teach occupational skills and knowledge to provide students with the competence to become skilled in their field.
- Develop lesson plans and organized class time so that preparation, instruction, shop work, and clean-up activities can be accomplished within the allotted time.
- Demonstrate occupational materials, equipment, instruments, and processes using stand or teacher-prepared models, mock ups, sketches, and other instructional aides.
- Guide students in the selection and performance of appropriate activities.
- Provide individual and group instruction appropriate t the needs of the students and the requirements of the activities being performed.
- Instruct students in the appropriate safety precautions and the safe operation and use of instruments and equipment.
- Control storage, maintains standard of student conduct to provide an orderly, safe, and productive environment in an activity-type classroom.
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.
- Communicates with employers, parents, and school counselors on individual student progress.
- Evaluates each student’s performance, knowledge, and skills in the course being taught, as well as prepare progress reports.
- Other assigned duties.
- THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION (3-4 months)
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher degree related to the subject matter and skills to be taught
- Needs to have, or be prepared to obtain, a Preliminary Vocational Technical Teacher License in Programming and Web Development (The Preliminary License requires passing score of at least 70% on a written test and performance test; and a passing score on the vocational Technical Literacy Skills Test (VTLST) or the Communication and Literacy Skills Test
- Four years of recent (within the last seven years), full-time employment experience directly related to programming & web development
- No teaching experience required

- Ability to read, interpret, and apply student performance data to instructional planning and execution

Salary : $51,000 - $73,000
