We are seeking a SharePoint Applications Developer to join us in our Huntsville, AL headquarters in Research Park. This position is not a remote or hybrid position and requires 5 days/week on site.

Position Overview:

Under limited direction, the selected individual will design and build SharePoint applications using a variety of development tools and techniques. Will develop user interfaces for new or existing databases using a combination of HTML, SQL, C or other languages. May coordinate with web developers and/or graphics designers to ensure that the needs are technically feasible.  This person will provide maintenance, updrades and advice on issues related to applications created and other technical web developments.  Will perform functionality and navigation testing and prepare technical documentation.  May perform one or more of the following duties:

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Design, develop and deploy custom Sharepoint applications to manage and track structured and unstructured data

·         Create custom lists, libraries, workflows, forms (Powerapps/InfoPath) and dashboards (Power BI or Excel Services)

·         Integrate SharePoint with external data sources (SQL, Excel, APIs) using business connectivity services or custom connectors

·         Implement role-based access controls, versioning and audit trails for compliance and traceability

·         Automate business processes using Power Automate or SharePoint Designer workflows

·         Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, document specifications and deliver user friendly solutions

·         Maintain and enhance existing SharePoint solutions to ensure performance, scalability and security

Qualifications:

·         High School diploma and 7 years of directly related experience; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 5 years of directly related experience or Master’s degree and 3 years of directly related experience

·         3 years of experience using SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server (2016/2019)

·         On a scale of 1 – 5, with 5 being the highest skill level, level 3 or greater skill level working with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) to design workflows

·         At least 2 years of experience with SPFx, JavaScript/TypeScript, Rest APIs and CSOM

·         Strong understanding of SharePoint permissions and governance

·         2 years of experience designing data schemas and metadata strategies

·         Ability to integrate SharePoint with Excel, SQL or third-party systems

·         Familiarity with Agile or DevOps methodologies
