Audio Visual Lead Installation Technician

System Source, a 70-person IT/AV consulting and integration firm, is searching for an Audio-Visual Lead Installation Technician. You will of Presentation Systems. We have served the Baltimore Washington region from Hunt Valley, MD .

Required Knowledge & Skills:

Must have work experience in the Commercial Pro AV integration industry

• 3 years’ experience with success in commercial AV installations
• Strong job site leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Installation of professional level audio, video, control, and network systems
• Experience with Crestron, Biamp, Extron, QSC, or similar control/DSP Systems
• Ability to design and build structural support for equipment installation
• Skilled in AV system testing, troubleshooting, and diagnosis
• Installation best practices
• CTS certification
• Basic Windows and Office skills
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Responsibilities:

• Independently lead permanent installation of commercial AV systems in the Baltimore & DC region
• Mentor and direct junior installation technicians
• Meet project deadlines through job site management and coordination with project manager
• Field terminate network, audio, and video cables
• Mount displays, projectors, screens, and speakers to code
• Designing and installing support structures to code
• Build and bench test AV racks before delivering to the client
• Test and field troubleshoot equipment

Experience Helpful but Not Required:

• CTS-I certification or manufacturer training (Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC)
• Familiarity with AV-over-IP and network configuration
• Construction background a plus
