Role: Senior ServiceNow CSM Developer (Lead)
Type: 12 month Contract
Work model: Remote — onsite meetings ~1x every 2–3 months for PI Planning

Overview
We’re hiring a Senior/Lead ServiceNow Developer to help mature and expand customer service products built on the ServiceNow platform, with a strong focus on Customer Service Management (CSM). You’ll be a hands-on lead who can own complex build work, guide technical direction, and mentor junior engineers—while partnering closely with product and business stakeholders.
This is a true hybrid Dev/Admin role (~60% development / 40% administration).
What you’ll do
- Lead design, build, testing, and delivery of ServiceNow enhancements and new capabilities (CSM-focused)
- Partner with product owners and stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into scalable solutions
- Build and customize workflows, integrations, and platform features using ServiceNow best practices
- Perform code reviews, ensure quality standards, and support DevSecOps/CI/CD practices
- Troubleshoot platform issues and improve performance, stability, and maintainability
- Mentor junior developers and help raise team delivery maturity
Must-haves (screening priorities)
- 8 years of software design/development experience with enterprise applications
- 5 years of ServiceNow development administration experience
- Hands-on ServiceNow CSM module experience (required)
- Strong ServiceNow scripting/config skills (e.g., Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI customization; JavaScript)
- Experience building custom apps/workflows and integrations (APIs, REST, JSON/XML, web services)
- Comfortable leading technical discussions and driving solutions end-to-end
Certifications (required)
- ServiceNow Developer Certification — required
- ServiceNow Administrator Certification — required
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with ITSM, CMDB, ITOM, SOM
- DevOps / CI/CD and test-first practices (TDD/BDD)
- Git/Bitbucket, API management tools
- Cloud exposure (AWS/Azure) and database concepts (SQL/Oracle/Postgres/Mongo, etc.)
- Security integrations (LDAP, SSO)
