Software Engineer Lead - Contractor

Job Title: Software Engineer Lead – IBM UrbanCode Deploy (uDeploy)
Location: Pittsburgh, PA / Strongsville, OH / Dallas, TX / Birmingham, AL / Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)
Duration: Contract to Hire

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer Lead with strong IBM UrbanCode Deploy (uDeploy) administration experience to support enterprise DevOps deployment platforms. The role involves installation, configuration, upgrades, and enterprise support of uDeploy, along with automation using Groovy, Python, or Ansible. Experience with Jenkins, GitHub, RHEL, ServiceNow integration, and DevOps pipelines is highly preferred. Candidates must be willing to work onsite and provide after-hours support for deployment change controls. Financial services experience is a plus.

Required Technical Skills

• 4 years of hands-on experience with IBM UrbanCode Deploy (uDeploy)

• Experience with:

  • Installation and configuration of uDeploy

  • Enterprise platform administration

  • UDeploy upgrades and environment support

• Experience managing UDeploy licenses through IBM License Key Center

• Experience onboarding users/applications to UDeploy

• Coding experience in Groovy, Python, or Ansible

• Experience developing custom UDeploy plugins

• Experience integrating UDeploy with ServiceNow

• Experience supporting vendor plugins

• Experience working with RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Ansible automation scripting

• GitHub Enterprise

• Jenkins

• Blue/Green deployment strategies

• Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Java development knowledge (supporting applications interacting with UDClient)
