Service Engineer
Job Description
- Provide solutions for any burner or related equipment problems that may arise in the field with little to no supervision
- Communicate professionally and effectively with personnel including plant managers, skilled labor, and internal team members
- Supervise and manage contractors or other personnel while on site
- Manage workflow based on customer expectations while on site
- Follow written and verbal instructions to ensure combustion systems are installed and operating correctly
- Perform start-up, operation, and troubleshooting of all combustion systems and/or equipment
- Create and submit detailed reports
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in an Engineering discipline or comparable field experience
- Ability to travel a minimum of 60%
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage workflow and work crews while on the job site
- Must possess technical and mechanical skills including reading mechanical and electrical drawings, piping utilities from P&IDs, instrumentation, welding, and electrical wiring
- Must be able to troubleshoot independently and report back for assistance when necessary
