Job Title: Quality Control Engineer
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Type: 12 month Contract
Compensation: $57.00 - $61.00 per hour
Contractor Work Model: Onsite – onsite
Responsibilities
- Implement the quality program across generation (power plant) projects to ensure compliance and excellence.
- Support project execution by verifying proper installation, startup, and commissioning of equipment, reducing rework and warranty issues.
- Participate in project reviews, inspections, quality plan development, and resolve installation or contractor quality issues.
- Review project plans and schedules, update QA programs, analyze quality reports, and assist in developing project-specific quality plans.
- Conduct site visits to power plants, perform inspections, installation walkdowns, and coordinate with contractors.
- Perform shop visits, track issues and resolutions across multiple projects.
Requirements
- Engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical preferred; Civil/Structural acceptable)
- Quality control/quality assurance experience or certifications
- Experience in power generation or industrial environments
- Knowledge of inspection/testing procedures and identifying construction defects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- 3–7 years of experience, but open to more experienced candidates
- Background in power plants, utilities, or industrial environments required
- Engineering QA/QC experience required
- Utility, power generation, or heavy industrial experience preferred
