Overview
Under the direction of the Engineering Manager the Product Engineer reviews forging applications, designs, drawings, and metallurgical processes to ensure they meet company specifications. They work with cross-functional teams to verify quality, compliance, and efficient production.

Responsibilities

• Review and direct knife application, designs, drawings, and metallurgical conditioning to meet company specifications for various applications.
• Ensure designs conform to companies engineering standards, and apply knowledge of process line equipment integration.
• Provide timely technical support to Inside Sales and Order Fulfillment teams, reviewing and confirming technical order details including applications, grades, hardness, and tolerances.
• Collaborate with sales, R&D, Quality, Engineering, and other departments in daily operations.
• Address and resolve mechanical design issues both in the office and the field while supporting continuous product improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering education.
• 5-7 years of directly related experience.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Excellent mechanical, analytical, and technical skills.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solid Edge, and Microsoft Office software.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and component tolerances.
