Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs all types of welding, brazing and soldering repair, replace, and installation of stainless and carbon steel plate and pipe, aluminum, copper and all other metals
- Equipment diagnostics, troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Pipe fitting rigging and equipment installation
- Assist with process equipment assembly and installation.
- Perform lubrication on equipment as needed and directed.
- Complete data entry into the work order system as required
- Welder performs pipe welding/fitting for stainless and carbon steel pipes.
- Pipe welder will have daily responsibilities to trouble shoot and repair process piping and equipment and perform preventive maintenance on equipment within the facility
- Minimum of High School/GED
- Minimum 3 yrs. experience of pipe welding experience
- Must be able to pass the 6G test prior to being extended an offer
- Must have pipe welding experience (NOT new structures)
- Proficient in TIG welding, mig welding, stick welding
- Read and interpret work orders, flow sheets, blueprint drawings, vendor specs, and/or P&ID’s to understand issue and to determine required repairs
- Proficient in using hand, power and shop tools
