What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phased Array / UT Level II Inspector position at System One?
System One is looking for experienced Ultrasonic Phased Array NDE / NDT inspectors for full-time and as needed project work.
Summary of Position
Level II Advanced Technicians are responsible for performing and understanding advanced NDE disciplines in accordance with the applicable System One procedures, codes, standards, and customer specifications, documenting the scope and results of each examination. Level II Technicians must be familiar with the scope and limitations of all NDE disciplines and are required to provide direct supervision and instruction as needed to all NDE personnel. Technicians must be able to certify as an Ultrasonic Level II and Phased Array Level II.
Responsibilities/Job Functions
- Safety First; all safety procedures will be completely understood and followed
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information, orally and in writing, in a timely manner
- Personnel must be able to present themselves in a professional manner to the project manager and customers at all levels
- Become proficient at following System One NDE procedures in accordance with customer specifications
- Assist in the preparation of component to be inspected, using power and or hand tools as required
- Complete inspection and daily reports as required for the tasks executed
- Maintain NDE experience time log to support certification requirements
- Learn and abide by all System One policies and procedures
- Completes all required training, including tests, within System One guidelines
- Have a basic understanding of all the industries System One services and the types of inspection and testing supplied by System One
- Maintain time-sheets and submit as required
Required Experience/Education
- At a minimum a high school diploma, GED, or College Certification is required
- Preferred Individuals will possess documented classroom training hours in: RT, UT, MT, PT, and VT from an accredited NDE school, relevant industrial experience or a college degree in a technical discipline
Experience: As required by ASNT, ANSI, and relevant industrial experience.
Required Certifications
- All safety training in accordance with System One safety Manuel
- Level II UT and Phased Array , with a minimum of two of the following, MT, PT, VT-Weld , VT- Mechanical UTT, HT, VB, RV, PMI
- As defined in career development sessions

- Must be able to lift and carry lightweight to heavyweight objects and use basic power and hand tools
- Climbing and working off of ladders, stairs, and scaffolding in excess of 100 ft and working in confined spaces can be a routine part of some projects
- Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time
