Job Title: Paralegal

Compensation: $105,000.00 - $130,000.00
Contractor Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote
Joule is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to support the Legal team with high-volume contract drafting, review, and analysis (e.g., NDAs, vendor and service agreements), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company policies. This role will also play a key part in supporting and administering the contract lifecycle management (CLM) system, including end-user support, troubleshooting, training, reporting/metrics, and partnering cross-functionally to improve workflows and adoption. The ideal candidate brings strong contract review experience, excellent organization, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review and analyze a variety of contracts, including NDAs, vendor agreements, and service agreements.
- Identify key terms, risks, and discrepancies, and escalate issues to attorneys as needed.
- Track contract status, deadlines, and renewal dates using contract management systems.
- Assist in drafting and revising standard contract templates and clauses.
- Assist with support of CLM end users, including issues related to system access and use, troubleshooting issues, and resolving other system-related concerns.
- Act as liaison between internal users, IT, Legal, Procurement, Sales Operations, and/or third-party vendors to address system issues, enhancements, and business needs.
- Develop and deliver user guidance, training materials, job aids, and support documentation to promote effective and consistent use of the system.
- Monitor contract workflow activity and help identify and resolve bottlenecks, errors, or adoption challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certificate required
- 3 years of experience in contract review required (in-house, corporate legal department preferred)
- 3 years of experience in working with CLMs, contracts administration, contract operations, legal operations, or a related field
- Strong understanding of contract terminology, negotiation and legal principles
