Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Static Equipment

Hours: 5 – 8 hours day
System One is e are seeking a high-caliber Mechanical Engineer to join an engineering team in Houston, TX. This role is a temporary field assignment working in maintenance and service department.
Mechanical Engineer – Static Equipment is responsible for:
- Attend vendor and internal team meetings
- Specify vessels, columns, tanks, heat exchangers, vessel internals and other static process equipment
- Prepare equipment data sheets, and full mechanical equipment and system specifications
- Perform technical and economic evaluations, bid tabulations, and prepare recommendations
- Attend vendor design and fabrication kickoff meetings
- Perform ASME/NBIC/API code repair and alteration calculations as well as FFS evaluations
Mechanical Engineer – Static Equipment Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- 5-10 years of static equipment experience for industrial applications
- Professional Engineer License
- TWIC Card is a plus
- Experience in Pipe Stress Analysis using CAESAR II software
- Experience working with ASME Section VIII, TEMA, and API Standards for static equipment
- Strong Experience with ASME B31.1 and B31.3 Piping Codes
- Experience using PRG Solutions Software (FEPipe, NozzlePro, etc.) for Analysis
- Experience using HTRI for heat exchanger design and troubleshooting
- Experience with COMPRESS pressure vessel design software
- Strong attention to detail and capable to perform detailed technical document and drawing checking
