Manufacturing Mechanic
Objective
To perform installation, preventative maintenance, and repairs on production machinery and equipment within the manufacturing facility. This full-time role offers opportunities to expand technical skills while ensuring optimal equipment performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
- Install, dismantle, and relocate equipment according to facility needs
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals
- Fabricate and install support structures for machinery when needed
- Monitor equipment performance and document maintenance activities
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures in an industrial environment
- Respond promptly to emergency repair situations
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, part replacements, and equipment history
Requirements
- 2-3 years minimum experience as a millwright, maintenance mechanic, or similar role
- Previous manufacturing experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification preferred
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, hand tools, and power tools
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various positions
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to work overtime or off-hours when necessary for critical repairs
- Understanding of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing setting
