What You’ll Own:
- Full plant engineering accountability: manufacturing, extrusion, injection molding, converting, machine shop, and technical teams
- Automation and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Facilities, infrastructure, and site performance, including safety leadership as the Company Safety Officer
- Cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations
- Capital planning, projects, and plant expansion
Manager, Plant Engineering – Medical Device Manufacturing Core Responsibilities:
- Lead plant engineering and manufacturing process development (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement programs
- Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and process issues on the floor
- Ensure compliance with FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, ISO 9001
- Drive automation, cost reduction, and performance improvements
- Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team
Who You Are:
- Hands-on, strategic engineering leader with ownership mentality
- Experienced in regulated manufacturing environments, preferably medical devices
- Skilled in automation, process scaling, and capital projects
- Strong collaborator and communicator across functions
- Comfortable driving change in a fast-moving, resource-conscious environment
Manager, Plant Engineering – Medical Device Manufacturing Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, or related)
- 7 years in manufacturing/process/plant engineering, 2 years in leadership role.
- Experience with injection molding and/or extrusion preferred
- Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, CAD (SolidWorks), ERP systems
- AI and 3D printing experience a plus
