Job Title: HR Assistant
Location: Darien, CT
Work Model: Onsite
Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00/hr
Type: 3-month contract
Responsibilities
- Sorting and reviewing files by type (Personnel/Medical)
- Logging files by Active/Terminated Trackers, including retention review details and transmitting files to HR Ops
- Boxing files and grouping files with similar years together whenever possible (for example, 2018-2019 or 2020-2021)
- Coordinating pickup dates with HROps
- Handoff of files to Iron Mountain
Qualifications
Required
- Entry level HR position with 0-2 years’ experience. Internship experience desired.
- Must have excellent customer service skill and be able interact well with others.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and multitask with excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver new associate and benefit presentations as required.
- Requires some knowledge of human resources principles and practices (either through study and/or application).
- Ability to detect and improve processes and procedures.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize advanced features in Word, Excel, and on-line eligibility system required.
Preferred
- Manufacturing environment experience
- SAP experience
