Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and analyze aircraft flight control systems, including autopilot and flight director functionality.
• Develop, evaluate, and refine control laws to achieve stable and robust aircraft performance across various operating conditions.
• Apply aircraft flight dynamics and control theory to improve system performance and functionality.
• Collaborate with systems, software, avionics, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Develop and review system requirements, interface definitions, and engineering documentation.
• Support system integration, simulation, verification, and validation activities.
• Analyze system performance, stability, handling qualities, and failure responses.
• Participate in safety assessments and investigations related to flight control functionality.
• Support laboratory testing, simulation, and flight test activities, including data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues related to flight control system performance.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Approximately 5 years of experience in flight controls, avionics, or aircraft systems engineering.
• Experience developing, evaluating, or tuning aircraft autopilot systems.
• Strong understanding of aircraft flight dynamics, control theory, stability, and feedback control systems.
• Experience using MATLAB/Simulink or similar modeling and simulation tools.
• Working knowledge of avionics systems and embedded software development processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, block diagrams, and system interface documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Salary : $140,000 - $165,000
