Financial Analyst 

Location: Roseville, MN
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Contract Duration: 12-months
Pay Rate: $34-39/hr

Overview:

System One is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support a large-scale IT infrastructure upgrade program. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate forecasting, accruals, and financial tracking. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, Excel-proficient, and comfortable working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly financial forecasting and accrual management

• Collaborate with vendors to gather forecast data and actuals

• Maintain Excel-based financial models with variance analysis

• Ensure forecasts and actuals are within ±5% accuracy tolerance

• Finalize monthly forecasts

• Support capital forecasting activities

• Use Business Objects and SharePoint to gather financial data

• Track and analyze variances between actuals and forecasts

• Ensure timely and compliant submission of accruals

• Coordinate with internal teams to validate and refine data inputs

Required Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting

• Strong Excel skills (data analysis, formulas, templates)

• Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver accurate work in team settings

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity with a detail-oriented mindset

Preferred Experience:

• Backgrounds in roles requiring precision and process management

• Experience in utilities or IT project environments is a plus, but not required

Skills:

• Effective communicator (written and verbal)

• Motivated self-starter and quick learner

• Comfortable with repetitive tasks and meticulous in work validation

• Professional and proactive when engaging in feedback or corrective conversations
