ETL Developer

Job Title: ETL Developer

Location: REMOTE

Type: Contract

Security Clearance: U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required, with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise ETL/ELT solutions to integrate data from multiple source systems

·       Develop scalable and high-performance data pipelines for batch and near real-time data processing

·       Build and maintain data integration workflows using modern ETL tools and cloud-based data platforms

·       Analyze source systems and business requirements to create efficient data mapping, transformation, and validation rules

·       Optimize ETL performance, troubleshoot data processing issues, and implement tuning strategies to improve efficiency

·       Collaborate with data architects, database administrators, business analysts, and application teams to deliver reliable data solutions

·       Develop and maintain data warehouses, operational data stores, and reporting data marts

·       Implement data quality checks, reconciliation processes, and exception handling frameworks

·       Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and operational runbooks

·       Support production deployments, incident resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives

·       Ensure compliance with data governance, security, privacy, and organizational standards

REQUIREMENTS

·       U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required, with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

·       Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related field; four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

·       Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in ETL development, data integration, and data warehousing

·       Strong experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Talend, DataStage, AWS Glue, or similar platforms

·       Proficiency in SQL and database technologies including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL

·       Experience designing complex data transformation, data migration, and integration solutions

·       Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and star/snowflake schemas

·       Experience working with cloud-based data services and modern data platforms

·       Knowledge of data quality, data governance, and metadata management best practices

·       Experience with performance tuning, error handling, and troubleshooting large-scale ETL processes

·       Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

·       Ability to work effectively in Agile development environments and collaborate across technical and business teams
