Type: 12 month Contract
Compensation: $59-76.50/hr
Per Diem
3 Weeks on, 1 Week Off
EWW - 57 hour work week

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of process improvement efforts supporting ES&H tasks, including incident investigation, root cause analysis, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Provide technical support and participate in ES&H Learning and Development activities focusing on incident investigation and corrective action planning.
• Support identification of ES&H trends and needs through inspection of project field activities.
• Coordinate various ES&H disciplines to facilitate the implementation of Bechtel's ES&H program and management system, ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and oversee incident investigation and root cause analysis programs, maintaining relevant databases and analyzing data for performance trends.
• Lead risk assessments, mitigation planning, and monitoring related to ES&H issues.
• Prepare communications, reports, and documentation for program execution and records retention.
• Conduct incident investigations, lead root cause analyses using tools like 5-Why, Why Tree, and Barrier Analysis, and develop SMART corrective actions.
• Participate in or lead employee training on incident investigation and emergency preparedness.
• Research and interpret regulatory requirements, providing technical advice and support to ES&H personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree related to environmental, safety, health, education, or a science discipline.
• 8-10 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of relevant work experience in lieu.
• Strong project construction safety experience and knowledge of environmental and health construction standards.
• Knowledge of regulatory and industry standards related to ES&H incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Experience as an instructor and trainer in incident investigation preferred.
• Ability to write executive reports, develop safety presentations, and manage resources effectively.
• Knowledge of learning and development systems and automation methods for process improvements.
• Proficiency in drafting investigation reports, training, and communication tools.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Bechtel's Advanced Incident Investigation process preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
