Capital Analyst

Job Title: Capital Analyst
Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota
Type: 12 month Contract
Compensation: $50.00 - $51.50 per hour
Contractor Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote

Responsibilities

• Evaluate software-related capital projects, ensuring proper financial classification and compliance with internal capitalization policies
• Support accurate project intake processing, validating requests for completeness and policy adherence
• Coordinate project intake requests through various approval teams, including PIT and CAA
• Review, validate, and route project documentation in accordance with company procedures
• Assist in project support activities including PMO support, IT governance, finance operations, and cross-functional collaboration

Requirements

• Experience in project intake coordination, specifically with Software Projects or Hardware IT
• Strong understanding of financial compliance, particularly Capital vs. O&M classification
• Proficiency in JIRA and SharePoint platforms
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, time management, and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with project coordination, PMO support, IT governance, finance operations, or business analysis roles
• Prior exposure to IT projects, financial tracking, or intake/governance functions is highly preferred
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in project support, operations, or related fields
