Area Planner/Scheduler

System One is seeking a Planner/Scheduler for a 12-month onsite contract supporting a large-scale lithium production project at Thacker Pass in north-central Nevada. This project will become the largest lithium resource operation in the United States, powering over one million electric vehicles per year. The facility is designed with sustainability at its core, including electricity generation from excess process heat and water recycling technologies.

Position Summary:

This position will support the construction and planning efforts for the Sulfuric Acid Plant (SAP) area of the project. The role involves construction schedule development, monitoring, analysis, and reporting. The selected candidate will coordinate with multiple stakeholders to maintain integrated scheduling for a major EPCM project. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with a hands-on approach to field-based planning and scheduling.

  Perform and support 90-Day Lookaheads and 3-Week Lookahead schedules.

  Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractor teams.

  Monitor progress and identify schedule risks or delays.

  Lead recovery planning and provide mitigation recommendations.

  Analyze schedule variances and propose corrective actions.

  Support monthly schedule updates, reporting, and schedule health assessments.

  Integrate subcontractor schedules into the project master schedule.

    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

    
    
    
  • 
    

    10 years of experience in EPC/EPCM Project Controls.

    
    
    
  • 
    

    Experience on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects.

    Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Office applications.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Proven ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams in a construction environment.
