Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Columbus, OH
Schedule: On-site | Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM (some flexibility available)
Expected Duration: 3 months
Pay: $24-26/hr.
About the Role
System One is hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk to support our client’s finance team in Columbus, Ohio. This position plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely vendor payments. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Receive, enter, and verify a high volume of vendor invoices in SAP.

Review invoices and payment requests for accuracy, coding, and approvals per company policy.

Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.

Enter and maintain financial data accurately in the SAP ECC accounting system.

Assist with preparing and processing check, ACH, and wire payments.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies through communication with vendors and internal departments.

Maintain organized accounts payable records, both digital and physical, for audit readiness.

Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and professionally.

Provide general support to the finance and accounting teams as needed.
Qualifications

Education: Associate’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience).

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in accounting, preferably in Accounts Payable.
Skills & Abilities

Experience with SAP or a similar accounting/ERP system.

Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.

Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
